Tolar Manufacturing Company fabricated custom Signature shelters for the busy La Sierra Metrolink Station in Riverside.
The 30-ft by 7-ft custom Signature shelters throughout the station support transit riders making connections between Metrolink and local RTA transit routes servicing 2500 square miles. Decorative battens and radius posts support wide aluminum roof panels* providing shade over the spacious seating with matching trash receptacle. Schedules and routes are prominently displayed in integrated map cases and each shelter provides security lighting utilizing four solar-powered, UL-listed, dusk-to-dawn LED lighting units* manufactured by Urban Solar.
A coordinated effort was made to ensure these station shelters align with Tolar-fabricated BRT shelters located throughout Riverside.
* Tolar assembled the roofs and lighting in its Corona-based manufacturing facility, delivering complete easy-to-install units to the job site.
Location
The City of Riverside is located in southern California. Named for its location beside the Santa Ana River, Riverside is the most populous city in the Inland Empire.
