These 8-ft Signature Sunset bus shelters were built for Knoxville Area Transit (KAT) in TN. Since 2019, Tolar Manufacturing has suppled 45 transit shelters to KAT in sizes ranging from 8-ft to 16-ft. While these sheltered pictured show a full size rear wall with bronze tinting, Tolar has also built versions with half size rear walls, making them rear walk-through shelters.
All KAT shelters are build with a curved radius roof design incorporating solid aluminum roof panels and offer optional RMS99F roof mounted solar security lighting for five day minimum autonomous operation that uses a 99W flexible roof-mounted solar panel with integrated battery storage and showcases an 8 watt LED light fixture. Adjustable shoes at the base of the post and stainless steel anchors provide for easy installation. The bus shelters are finished with super durable baked powder coat (color: RAL9006 White Aluminum) with clear coat. Within the shelters are 44-in loop arm two-seat benches with black HDPE plastic slat seating surface.
